July 31, 2014 / Alyson Marie Hopkins, beyond fear and pain

July 9, 1965 - July 28, 2014

It is with the greatest sadness I tell you that Hilary & John's precious and loving daughter, Alyson Marie Hopkins, passed away Monday, July 28th at the age of 49.

She had a radiant soul, always cheerful, in spite of her many challenges.  The loss of their daughter, friend, and joy, has left them heart-broken.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, August 3rd at 3:00 PM in Mount Auburn Cemetery where both Hilary and Alyson volunteered.

i am so sorry to hear of aly’s passing, i knew her in the 12 step community, and she was so supportive when I struggled with depression, we were close in age, I am 49, I moved to topsfield in 2003, so had not seen her in quite a while, love to your family, I wil never forget Aly’s humor and compassion

Curt and I are so sorry for your loss.  John, thank you for still volunteering at the Museum despite your loss.  She looks like a really neat person!
